Your Jaisalmer tour will start off slow but will quickly pick up the pace. Arrive in Jodhpur on the designated day and time, and we will pick you up from the airport or the railway station. Wasting no time at all, we embark on a 5-hour drive to Jaisalmer. Once in Jaisalmer, check into your hotel room and freshen up from the long trip. You will be staying in 3-star hotels like Hotel Hayyat and Desert Gateway Resorts. Get ready to head out for your first touristy look on Jaisalmer. Your first stop will the magnificent Sonar Kila or the Jaisalmer Fort. Built by the founder of Jaisalmer, Raja Rawal Jaiswal, it is perhaps one of the only “living” forts in the world with one-fourth of the old city’s population residing within it.
Next morning, have breakfast and prepare for an even more exciting day around Jaisalmer. Your busy day starts with a walk in Bada Bagh, a beautiful garden complex sitting in a set of elaborate chhatris. It is followed by visits to the architectural ruins of Lodhruva, abandoned village of Kuldhara, and finally the majestic Khaba Fort. Spend your evening in the golden sands of Jaisalmer with Sam Sand Dunes. You and your loved ones are sure to remember the exquisite sunset at the dunes. Next up is an experience that’s going to be unique in your life, the camel safari. Ride the wild dunes on your camel and enjoy the desert to its full extent. End your day with a delicious dinner in the camps set up right in the desert followed by some folk music and dance. Sleep under the shimmering stars and the clear night skies in your swiss tent.
On your final day in Jaisalmer, have your breakfast and get out to explore more of Jaisalmer’s highlights. Visit the famous havelis like the Patwon ki Haveli and the Salim Singh ki Haveli to admire their detailed architecture and the numerous decorative balconies. Get to know the local history and culture in the Thar Heritage Museum. Finally, in the evening, pack your luggage as you prepare to head back home after your wonderful Jaisalmer trip.
